Burning a CD means to copy files from your computer to a CD. Then you can take the CD to another computer and read the files from the CD. Like the CDs you buy for installing programs or playing music. It is called "burning" because it uses a laser to burn the information into the magentic foil inside the CD.
You have to have a special CD drive that is able to burn CDs to make a CD.

you can create your own CDs with music or files on them.
You need a blank CD (CDR) and a special program that will take your files and "burn" them onto a blank disc.
