I had this happen to me to. Yahoo did it, to try to make Yahoo the home page. Just go to Internet Explorer web site and download the newer better ungraded tool bar 7.0 and reload it, and make IE your homepage like I did.

Step 1: Right-click on a toolbar & make sure "Lock the Toolbars" is not checked & "Address Bar" is checked.
Step 2: Put the mouse just to the left of where the word "Address" is--so you get a double arrow--and drag the vertical line to the left or to a different line of toolbars.
Step 3: Right-click on a toolbar & check "Lock the Toolbars".
(Step 3 is optional.)

To show the full length of ALL toolbars:
Do step 1 above. Then, put the mouse on the bottom edge of the bottom row of toolbars--so you get a double arrow--and drag straight down until the toolbars won't move any further. Then, (optionally,) do step 3 above.

Click on "View" then choose "Toolbars" and make sure there is a check mark next to "Address bar". If there already is, then get out of that menu and on your screen, click and hold the word Address and drag it and drop it elsewhere. Then the whole bar will show up.
