What would be the best material to use to suspend weightsfor a Cavendish experiment?

The torsion balance I'm looking to suspend will weigh about 21lbs. Should I use a monofilament fishing line, metal wire, or does it not matter?

I would use the fishing line, as it is more flexible and it wont interfere with the other metallic properties of the spheres (just in case). It is cannot be accidentally charged and skew results.
