my sister~I dont know if you are Christian or not, but a great deal of the disharmony you face can be dealt with through the Word. Separation is not necessary. As for him leaving, the Bible says husbands and wives should separate ONLY for fasting and praying and then come together again so that you do not fall to temptation. Temptation is in Boston. The "little" things that you are bickering about are just tactics the enemy uses to tear marriages apart. Do not yield to it. If you dont know the Lord, I encourage you both to turn to Him. He will show you how to love each other beyond anything you've ever known. With Him, all things are possible.

God bless you and keep you...

I'm not sure I understand the question: if you're separated (because you're severing your relationship as your question implies) then there's nothing to trust. You're both free to do what you will. If you're separated only by circumstance however,(say on an extended business trip, for example) then trust would be a concern but it shouldn't be an overwhelming one. People survive this dilemma every day without straying. But based on the tone of your question, there's more going on here than meets the eye. To this great quandary I would simply add, if you or your spouse are feeling compelled to cheat, you wouldn't have to leave town to do it. I hope you both reassess your positions. You can't hold something together by pulling it apart. Good luck.

That situation sounds sad. I do hope it works out. Anytime you have a couple who agrees to separate, there have got to be some huge problems. You committed to each other and you are supposed to be a team - separating seems to be the weakest thing you could do; will almost guarantee divorce. Why not work things out TOGETHER?

If you can't trust yourself or your spouse then it speaks volumes about the commitment to the relationship each of you is trying to work out.
