My doctor said the cyst was the cause of the cramps on the right side of my stomach. She also said that the cyst was a good thing giving the baby extra nutrients. And that everything else is good, but we cant figure out whats causing me to bleed or "spot". Does anyone have any experience with this? She said baby is growing as it should, and I have another doctors app this afternoon. If you have any experience or know someone who has, I would love some insight. Thanks!

Well, I had some spotting in the beginning of both my full term pregnancies. Take it real easy and listen to your dr. You got a long way to go yet! Good luck and congrats!

I had my left ovary removed at 4.5 months pregnant. It never caused any spotting though. I did have horrible cramps until it was gone though. It was a simple surgery and the baby was and still is fine. She is 6 now. So, it is not a bad thing. Some spotting is normal. With this pregnancy (it is my 3rd, i have a 6 year old, had a miscarriage, and am 19 weekss now), I had a little spotting. ANd that was about 2-3 months ago. I am sure it is nothing.

First congrats on your pregnancy! I have had an ovarian cyst and it was so painful. The cyst usually goes away after your cycle but now that you're pregnant i'm not sure if it will be absorbed or not. My cyst actually burst and it can cause some spotting but I would definitely get a second opinion!

It's normal to spot a little at the very beginning of pregancy, its called break through bleeding maybe that's it, especially since you found out SO early that you are pregnat its rare that anyone finds out this early, most people don't know until they are about 5 or 6 weeks, so I would think that the 2 week stage would be about the time that breakthrough bleeding would occur, but hopefully your doctor will be able to give you more information. Good Luck!

I am 30 weeks today. This happened to me early in my pregnancy, they even did a test to see if I was loosing the baby.
All I can tell you is, I know it's hard, but DON'T WORRY. Getting a cyst is prefectly normal and it goes away on it's own. Your doctor isn't concerned because it's nothing to be concerned about so don't you worry! They'll prob do another sono to see if it's still there in a few weeks. I had to get an internal sono to see. They are normal and DO go away. Enjoy your pregnancy!
