I think with a lot of (particularly 25 & younger) people it isolates them physically from interacting with others. It affects their spelling so much I worry they won't function well in the real world of job applications, etc. ('what r u ppl doin' 2day?' kind of stuff seems rampant on here). As for us older people, we were born in the time before the internet (Egads!) and went out in the world to clubs, festivals, events, and met & mingled with other people everyday. But I wonder: if someone is shy or has a poor self-image, they can sit & talk to their cyber friends & never gain social skills they will need in life. That might create problems for society later on. I guess time will tell.

The internet keeps people from physically interacting. Don't think this is a good idea. Then people forget how to act in public.

i think internet is bringing people together and now we can exchange ideas to large number of people any where in the world. but on local level it is responsible for unsocialism too, like t.v. did.

both. that's extra us nearer mutually in that we paintings mutually each day the following (and, at times, construct friendships) with human beings we ought to have in no way encountered before the internet. yet the different fringe of the sword is that the internet (like television, cell telephones, gaming consoles, and mp3 gamers) is yet another device that serves to isolate us from direct human contact and interplay. So i wager what i'm attempting to assert is that it brings us in the direction of more beneficial human beings notwithstanding the nature of that closeness is way less own and a lot less actual. volume over high quality.
