Yes, it's quite normal. If the coolant temp is above the setpoint of the fan's thermostatic switch the fan will run briefly after shutdown. The water in the cylinder head typically becomes heat-soaked and trips the fan on a few minutes after shutdown.

It's a safety feature to cool down radiator fluids in the car. With your car having over 100,000 miles, this is really typical. If your engine starts to run hot, then it may be a bigger problem that is causing the fan to kick on..... otherwise it should be ok.

yes, its cooling it down after youve driven. It switches off automatically after a while right? Its cool that your car has this feature. My old audi used to do this after ive taken her for a thrashing.

If the car has had its engine coolant changed and the temp gauge is central it should be ok.
