someone told me to go to bed cuz in the morning I'd regret wasting points on questions. I don't get it. the points are worthless and isn't that taking YA a little too seriously?

Confession: I first started answering every question I could just for the points.
Now I only answer the questions that I really feel I have an answer or an opinion that can make a difference.
More: I've learned more from reading then from asking.
Sometimes I read a question and go back to my Q&A just to check if it wasn't me because it was just what I needed answered.
Of course I've noticed there are some "groups" that only give the ten points within themselves and I feel sad because some of the answers neglected are really good.
I've been answering questions since April and there are some that just started and are in the same level than me.
But I feel happy because I hope I made a difference, no matter the points awarded or the level I'm at.
I think you're like me in that point so, congratulations for being like that!

Have a nice day!

points are kinda pointless. it is possible to start fresh and be a level three in a week. if i hadnt asked my 7 questions i would have done it. i just hit level 3 with this one. it is just too easy to get points with ppl asking questions that you can answer "nope' or not really. But some ppl willl always take everything way to seriously.

Well yes it is worthless but because of greed we just want more and more points. Some people don't even ask questions they just log in to answer question and earn points. Most people want to get to the highest level.

Say Joni, don't think for 1 minute the points are useless, least of all yahoo will treat you to dinner and a movie! The top ten get a choice of either working for yahoo or a really great prize!!

I dont care about the points so much, I like being on here cause it helps the time go by faster. Besides I dont get why that guy was complaining about you asking too many questions, its your points, plus he'd be benefiting from it anyways by him answering your questions he gets two points...he's an idiot, if you wanna ask questions, ask 'em!

I agree. Ask questions. The points get you nothing but a meaningless level.

Since you are on level 6 i'd say you have taken y/a pretty serious already, but either way you have points to spare....

You dont need to go to bed, u need to find a bf to waste time with. 14K in points is a sign that your life has hit a rut.....
