Lymph node. A swollen node indicates infection. If, as you have stated, it's "going down" and you have no other symptoms (malaise, fever, nausea, etc.) then your immune system is fighting off the infection. That is what our lymphatic system (includes lymph nodes) is for. Continue to monitor it and if it increases in size or hardens, becomes increasingly painful to touch, reddens or if you develop other symptoms of infection, make a visit to your primary health care provider.

Call your doctor. You probably have some kind of infection - the harmful substances from your bloodstream can collect in your lymph nodes and that causes swelling. If it's going down, it probably means that your body is fighting off the sickness, but it's better to get checked.

If it doesn't go away in a couple of days then go to the doctor. That happens to me every once in ahwile, could just be your body fighting off an infection or they could get swollen due to stress. No big deal.

I had that a few times. It usually goes away within a month or sometimes a few days. I went on antibiotic for it and they told me to use warm compresses. After a month if it doesn't go away, go to the doctor. And also check for more in the general area. Did you have a cold recently?

It is probably nothing to worry about as long as it is going away. I have had the same problem and my doctor advised me to put hot compresses/hot washcloths on it until it went down, and it did.
If it would make you feel better, maybe have your doctor check it out but I think you will be OK and don't need to worry!

a virus probly, mine tend to swell up for no reason sometimes with no other symptoms but i test positive for strep. lymphnodes are there to trap and destroy viral infections and sometimes it takes longer to destroy some than others. you can have it checked out to make sure its nothing seriouse though. they tend to swell if the infection is a bigger one even if other symptoms arent present.

You probably have a lot of lymph fluid in your lymphnoids. you could go to a lymph doctor and get it drained, also massage therapists who are certified in lymph drainage can help you!

it's "lymphnode" ;o}
as long as it's going down, you don't really need to worry. it was maybe an infection in your ear, your eustacian tube, your tonsil, your throat...
if it stays large or gets hard, then that's bad and needs to be checked soon (after like a week)
