Jews don't believe on his prophethood, they call him "king"
Muslims believe he was a prophet of allah..

Muslims believe zaboor, torait(Torah),bibble and Quran are holy books ..
However historical evidence suggests zaboor torah and bibble have been modified to fit needs of rulers over the time..

Quran is the last book revealed by god and god has guarenteed not a single word of it would be changed till the day of jugdment and Quran would remain available in his actual form..
and it is ...there are millions of "Hafizs"(people who know Quran by heart) and all the copies match, even those around over a thousand years old..

His followers were Jews as he was sent to "bani israel" or "children of Israel".
He along with Prophet Suleman were prophets and King at the same time.
This was the main reason, Jews refused to follow Prophet Jesus (Hazrst Isa AS) as he was not King and not from the area from where they (Jews) were expecting their next prophet (who had to be a king st the same time)

Well, the "prophet" David was an ancient King of Israel. He did not have followers per se, but was one of the prophets of God, the Deity worshiped by Jews, Christians, and Muslims. All three religions consider him a prophet.
