I found my hot water tank in the attice was dripping water from the water release faucet at around the bottom of the tank. I shutted the water intake faucet from above and opened the pressure release value on the side. I had this water tank for 7 year now, and I wander if it's the time to replace one. Thanks!

Get a brass 3/4 hose thread cap w/ garden hose washer. about $3 @ Home Cheapo.
OR
Turn off the power or turn the gas valve on the heater to off, drain the tank and unsrew the drain valve with a pipe wrench, replace the valve with a 3/4 water heater drain valve or a 21/2" long brass nipple and a 3/4 fip hose bibb.
Water heaters usually last 10 years or more.
Get the hose cap and forget about it.

Maybe you only need to repair the faucet. It is after all, just a faucet. Is it a stem leak, or thru the faucet drip? Perhaps you can have a plumber look at it first if you can't DIY.

You should be able to repair the water release valve. You can alsways go to the hardware store and get a swag for garden to pipe thread and put on a ball valve. This is a cheap repair.

W\H are usually good for 10 to 15 years. the source of the leak sounds like it can be repaired inexpensively

I think it's quite possible that your water heater needs to be replaced. Some of them are not guaranteed for more than 7 years.

Don't wander (sic), just do it. And when you buy a new one, throw a dictionary in the cart too. Your spelling is horrible.
