When i try to delete a programme from my computer, it re-directs me to the web site, i can't get rid of the programme thatsinstalled, how do i get rid of it to stop the pop ups???

Sounds like one of the Spyware cons, where they tell you you have a virus on your PC and then direct you to their website to pay the chure - when it is really their own software giving the warnings and popups.
Run both Ad-aware (http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/) and Skybot (http://www.safer-networking.org/) to remove any spyware. Run both as one may caught something the other missing. Then go to microsoft.com and download Defender to protect against future infections. All three are FREE.
Whatever you do, DO NOT pay them to get rid of the popups.
