Funny thing you should mention that. Because quite frankly, if I was the devil, the first thing I would manipulate is religion. I'd freaking pose as god and try to get the christian army to fight for me. They've shown time and time again that they are willing to fight for ideals.
Atheists? They would probably just tell me to go bugger off. Convincing them to fight would be a lot harder.
Liberals? Even harder. They don't even like spending money on war.
Liberal Atheists? I think it's faster if I go after the religious popoulation.

Your pastor should be talking about religious matters, not legal ones.
The day religion is allowed to determine what is treason is the day we've cross the line into a theocracy.

No more than anyone else. I am not sure of the theological definition for what makes anyone an 'agent of the devil' but I would guess that someone whose political or religious beliefs are not yours would not qualify.

I think they're misguided and wrong, but that doesn't make them Orcs or devils. It just means they're human and have reached the wrong conclusions based on erroneous assumptions.
