Anyways I think the most popular answer should be B.Coz they only win due to the ref's mercy all the time.So if our ref turns out to be a good and loyal chap,then dear Italians, ur gonna lose.But even if he is bribed its ok with us coz luck will not let u win over and over again.U atleast need SOME talent and skills!
D is also a "believable" excuse coz with all this match fixing scandals on the head, the Italy team couldnt attend their diving and acting classes.Morover the new players , though they r trained under expert divers and actors, will not hav the experience of cheating this much .I hope the new players will not outdo their former players in cheating and provoking!

Well, it might really be A and in that case, it wouldn't be much of an excuse. It would be a fact.
B and D are really lame. C could be.
But the ***most popular*** will be:

Oh come on. You're underestimating the Italian NT. They are exceptionally talented at diving, so of course excuse B is not a possibility. They will dive.
They already used A for when they got SMASHED by Croatia!!!!
They can't use D because of the whole Italian clubs match fixing scandal.

Actually I had mentioned something like 'A' in a previous question, he is gonna mess around with the line up and use a few young guys. One thing is for sure. If the Italians lose I won't go on and on about it ad neaseum for months. In fact I'll probably say something stupid like "good game"
