Virginia Beach Area: I am new to this area, and need a job, also need to find a good bar to hang at... help?

Question

I am looking for a job since i have been in the area almost a week. Im looking at banks online since i would like to have a mon-fri day job so I can travel the area a bit on weekends, also my boyfriend is in the service and we have already been doing long distance for a year, and now im with him and we want to have time to spend together before he leaves for the middle east again. Any ideas or help would be welcomed. Also about the bar. I worked at a really home like one in san diego and i need to find a really friendly bar here.

I just moved here too, I've been here about 5 months, and I really think this place SUCKS! Most people I know either totally love it or hate it here, I think it all has to do with your age and what kind of atomosphere you like... Right now most people are tourist's so meeting friends to hang out with seems to be a little difficult, If you get a job as a bartender or a coctail waitress you can meet a decent selection of people, there are alot of places at the ocean front hiring soon cause the summers almost over...I personally don't like how ghetto and small all the places are around here are, most people go out to Norfolk or Tidewater, there are some nice bars and places to go out there.
