Are men more obsessed with younger girls after 50 y.o ? in general?

It seems so, and is pretty gross. I'm not sure why a guy 20 years older than me, thinks that I'm going to want to sleep with him. I've never been attracted to older guys. Seriously, never.

And men do not age better than women - society just has way higher standards for what a woman has to look like to be considered "attractive" compared to what a man has to look like to be considered attractive. Men don't age better than women, there is just a huge double standard. In fact, if there is any difference, women probably age better (at least in my generation - I'm 28 so I guess we haven't aged that much....), because women actually take care of themselves. I recently went to my 10 year high school reunion, and the girls looked great! The guys on the other hand, had kind of let themselves go - they really put on the weight and looked sloppy. Many guys think they are exempt from having to make the efforts that women do to keep themselves looking good, and it shows. That is why I'm not attracted to older men. I work out six times a week, watch what I eat, and take care of myself. I have a hot boyfriend, with a hard body, who is a year younger than me - why would I be attracted to a guy 20 years my senior with a beer gut, who is balding? Money? No thanks, I can take care of myself.

im thinking mid life crisis does come into play but the thing is when men get older u can still go out and have a drink and it be ok but for a women no one wants to see them wasted trying to look young again so yes younger women do become more appealing im guessing but im only 25 so when im 50 i will let you know

I hate it when people say that men age better than women, because it's completely untrue. It's just that women are expected to fit a certain "beauty mold" whereas men can look a lot of different ways and still be considered attractive. Men are not "distinguished" when they are older, they're just old. It's a huge double standard.

Well, according to this site it seems so. However, the guy that says men age better than women has his head someplace it shouldn't be. I think it's the other way around. Older men make fools of themselves. They think people are saying, "Oh, he must be great to still get a young woman". When actually what they are thinking is "Look at that old fool. She is using him and he's too dumb to know it". But, whatever pleases them and makes them happy...

As a man who is 53yrs young and divorced, I find that most women around my age are already 'old women'. I have a g/f ,soon to be fiancee, in Thailand who is only 35. The age difference seems to be more tolerated there. That however was not my reason for finding a g/f there, I just have a liking for SE Asian women and when we met it just seemed right for us to be together.

I'm in my mid fifties, and like women closer to my own age! Not that young women are pretty, and I enjoy looking at them, but I would rather have common history! Besides, I don't want to do the things again that I did in my 30s! Been there, done that!

I believe that is the truth - what old man wouldn't want a young thing in bed to make them feel young again, and if they do get the young one it will certainly boost their ego.
