Well, the US is busy with 2 other countries, and they are the only people willing to DO anything about it, so yes, they are.
It's not like the UN will do anything, they never do.....

I read an article on Iran the other day, and while I can't say that they rhetoric is peaceful, the Heavy Water facility which they have fired up is NOT capable of producing a weapon, at least not directly. They may be telling the truth that they are not developing weapons. The question is can they be trusted, and the entire word seems to think, "No." It is also reasonable to note that they are 15 to 20 years away from a weapon if they are going that direction.

So why don't you do something about it. The same people who want war with Iran are the ones who don't have to fight it. The world doesn't care because it's not most of the world who will be bombed, it will be us. We need to start and support a revolution in Iran. The people want freedom and are primed to start a revolution.

Maybe. What should be done? Should we nuke Iran now? Actually Valerie Plame was the CIA agent who got information for the US on Iran's nuclear program but as you remember the Bush administration outed her, blew her cover, to get even with her husband for saying correctly that Iraq had no WMD's. When she went down, her entire network of informants went, too, so the US is left with no accurate info on what Iran has or doesn't have. It would be a shame to nuke em if they are innocent, but because of outing Plame, we just have no way of telling. Another thing people will read about in history books in the future, and be amazed Americans could have ever been so stupid to elect such a childish immature brat for president.

Probably. Then it will be too late. Actually, now that I think about it.... the U.N. will more than likely put some useless sanction in place first. THEN we'll get bombed! I mean... THEN Iran will get the bomb. This plain of existence is getting out of control.
Have a great day!!! (until we're nuked)

Director of National Intelligence John Negroponte's testimony on Iran before the Senate Intelligence Committee on February 2 was clearly cautious. The U.S. intelligence community judges that Iran probably has neither a nuclear weapon nor the necessary fissile material for a weapon, he stated. If Iran continues on its current path, it "will likely have the capability to produce a nuclear weapon within the next decade," he added. The basis for this estimate remains classified, although Iran's lack of knowledge and experience in building and running large numbers of centrifuges for uranium enrichment was reportedly an important consideration. When pressed, U.S. officials have said that they interpret Negroponte's remark to mean that Iran will need roughly 5-10 years before it possesses nuclear weapons.

Lots of countries have nuclear weapons technology.
And, while that may be a dangerous thing, it's also their sovereign right as nations. Threatening them with violence is not the way to eliminate the threat.
So, either we talk, or we eliminate the Iranian government entirely and take over. All or nothing.
Because anything in the middle is going to be worse than either extreme.

We gave Iraq13 years of diplomatic leeway. Why should Iran get any less. So far they have nothing that will reach the US. I think Europe should be steppin up the talks, since they do have weapons that will reach them.

In 1981, Israel took it upon themselves to bomb Iraq's French-built nuclear reactor--thank goodness.
Hopefully, Israel will save the day once again.
Interestingly, Germany sold Israel two nuclear-capable subs just last week....
