Keep your area clean of rotten fruits and/or vegetables. Stop leaving stuff for them gather.

Fruit flys are also the one and the same as a drain fly...yes they eat you fruit or what ever garbage that is sweet smelling and or left out. The darn little buggers lay eggs in your sink and tub drains. You need to put baking soda in the drain and let sit for a little bit then rinse down do this a couple times a week and keep the fruit in the fridge and the trash emptied!! Good luck..my ex hubby works for a pest control company and I can hear him telling me off about the fruit flys in the house ....LOL!!

leave out little dishes of vinegar, they flock to it and then drown in it.
