i got a tattoo on my ankle over a year ago...i want another one, but i want it somewhere that if i needed to cover it up i could, but if i want to show it i could do that too...any ideas?

Lower back, shoulder blade, navel area. Don't believe what some say about tramp stamps. It's just a lable and a stupid one at that. I have one on my lower abs just under my right hip bone that only shows when I wear a swim suit. There are lots of places that can be easily covered and uncovered and still look feminine.
I also have one on my inner right ankle, my right shoulder blade, one around my navel and one on my lower back. I work in corporate america and most of my work clothes cover everything I have. You can only see my ankle when I wear skirts and like I said it's on the inside and hardly noticeable unless you're looking for it. I am looking at maybe getting one on the top of my foot but I still need to have the one on my shoulderblade finished. They all are organic in nature i.e. flowers, vines, ivy and such. Took along time for me to find what I wanted.

I think once you have decided that you want one you usually have an idea of the desing and where u want it, but let me tell you the story about mine... I really didnt take much time to think about Im really spontaneous and just did it, but since I was really not sure I did it somewhere that could be covered, i got it on the top part of my feet and I can have the option to show it or not, and to tell you the truth I love it... so before u do as I did, really think about the reasons why you want to get it... I have a few tattoo's and I love them all. I thought long and hard about what they would be, what meaning they have to me, and where I should put them. A tattoo is a very personal and very long term decision to make. It is a decision that you need to make for yourself.

It depends on your career path. If you intend to attend a 4-year program, and work in Corporate America, you might want to keep the tats hidden. If you just want a J-O-B, it doesn't matter.

Get one on your calf or on the top of your back. The back of your neck if the design you want is small and you have long hair. On your chest is also an option. Hope this helps. GOOD LUCK!!!

I would say Lower back if you really want one.
But don't go out of your way getting one to impress a guy or someone,cuz you will reget it later in life.

Small of your back.
Thats where I have mine and I like having it there, easy to cover up and nice to show off with swimsuits.
