If you had the opportunity to get a whole lot of knowledge, you would find out that you not only do not need a great big house , but that it is really counter productive to our society: It's like driving a "Hummer" when all you really need is a "Honda".

Our society has taught us to strive for material wants at any cost. Today, look where this type of thinking has lead us into. We are at the verge of stealing a country from its natural inhabitants (Iraq). and if that was not enough, we got our eye on nuking Iran.

Still, everyone should find this out for themselves and make there own decisions as to the proper way to live.

First, you'll need to find a way to be able to afford some education while keeping yourself alive. You can look at getting some financial aid (talk to a finacial aids counsler, in your neiborhood community college) or maybe getting a loan. You may find you need to make alternate living arrangements to keep the bills down, like taking in a room mate. With the extra schooling you aquire, you will soon be able to secure a better job.

Now, you can choose to continue to repeat the education climbing cycle until you reach your desired level or if you feel inclined, break out on your own and start your own business.

Keep in mind, life is short. You don't want to find yourself to old to do some of the other things that life has to offer.

Also, as you develop your mind, you will find that you are good and enjoy some things more than others, I suggest you exploit those findings and run with them.

Good luck on your journey.

Fill out the Fafsa (www.fafsa.ed.gov) and see how much financial aid you qualify for. Given your unique circumstance, you probably qualify for more than you might think. If you don't have a computer, go to the library and do it. Or go to a local college and get one at the financial aid office. While you're there, talk to an admissions advisor and a fin. aid advisor. They'll tell you what you need to know. Also, if you've graduated high school, you may qualify for scholarships. You can get these with a GED, too. You'll need one or the other to go to any school. Start at a community college (or if you're stressed for time, try University of Phoenix online).

There are ways to do this; just give it a shot!

No, it is an equity game.

You buy a house for 200,000 and your mortgage is $1400 (6% interest) a month. Ater 10 years you have a lot of equity and the house is woth 300,000. The rates go really low and then you sell the house you are in and buy another for 400,000, but your payment is the same, because you had a 150,000 down payment form the profit on the first house

Point being. Once you build equity and sell the house, you then have a down payment, for your second purchase. when you have a down payment your rates are much lower and you can afford a much bigger house on the same monthly payment

My grandfather came here from Poland speaking no English during the depression - opened a bar and became reasonably wealthy - big house and all. If you want to get rich without all that much school then you need to have some entrepreneurial spirit IMO. Get out there and try to set up a business. If it fails - learn from that experience and try again. RH Macy failed five times before his famous Macy's department stores became successful.

Adjustable rate mortgages with little or no down.

People watching the value of their houses double in the last 5 years (in DC, Boston and other areas) and cashing out the equity.

These households are two income and the combined gross income is less than $100,000 per year. Throw in some income under the table and donations from friends and relatives.

Pell grants are available from the government (http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/) that can help you through school. Many colleges offer programs that are directed specifically toward adult and non-traditional students and set up to be user-friendly for them. Check into these options. Check into schools in your area. You need a good degree to make a decent amount of money in life, and you definitely need to review the career opporutnities in the locale in which you wish to live. The highest paid jobs will vary from place to place.

Being a doctor doesn't necessarily mean you'll have a huge house. People who are that rich usually get that rich through buisness. Then there are the people who were just born into a wealthy family.

most ppl who live in those huge house's are in debt up to their eye brows what you do is find the house you want get a loan for 30 + years (which will reduce your payment size but will pay more in long run.) put a down payment on the house and pay back your loan which is called a mortgage

you don't necessarily have to be a doc or dentist to have a big house........You need good credit first and foremost......Also it depends on the state you live in.....In New York, you might need to be a Doctor a Dentist and a CEO to own anything....but in another state things are a little different.....
