I'm not in a place to leave right now. My boss is a 100 year old asshole attorney who thinks the world owes him something. Such a mean man. I am miserable. He has a brand new corvette, I thought about keying it. Ha ha.
Anyone else in this position?

Love the job, love the boss (Me, right now!) But, I have been where you are. Can't you look for something else? Put your resume out there!

So many people are unhappy with their situation. Having to go into work so early, be on the clock by a certain time, answer to their boss why they were 5 min late because they were stuck in traffic dropping off their children whom they rarely ever see these days... long hours....it's endless....they should all do what I did, hang in there a little longer until... you can fire the boss and work for themselves! I'm happier now than I ever been! Especially after reading Robert Kiyosaki's book from the Rich Dad Poor Dad "The Business School" I'm on my way to being on the other side of the cash flow quadrant! If you're interested in knowing more, the proven formula presentation is incredible. A must see!
As with any business you look at... do check with the BBB :)

I don 't think you hate your job as much as you resent not only your boss but any successful person. I'm pretty sure that as an Attorney he has worked pretty hard for whatever he has (including the new corvette). Start working hard now an prob ably you won't have to wait until you are 100 yrs old to have something

I work for an attorney and its not that I hate what I do, or that he is mean. He's actually pretty nice. He is just oblivious to the fact that he pretty much lets the uneducated typist run everything because she has known him since he was a law student (he's 45 now) and she is a f-in Nazi. She wants to keep doing things the way they were done 15 years ago and won't accept any change. If I explain to the attorney how my way will be more efficient and productive, she goes in right after me and undermines me. Even if he agrees with me she will change his mind. Welcome to the world of law honey!

Well if you dislike your job, find a new one! They're out there. Also remember that you usually have to start out at the bottom of the stack anywhere you work, and you work your way up to bigger and better things.
Just be thankful that you have a job, and you can provide for yourself! Lots of people do not have that, for different reasons, be it their own mistakes and bad choices or something that is totally out of their hands. Try to look at the glass half full, and you will find that you will be happier in your job.
I don't like being at work either, but I just count down the minutes until it's time to go home! And most of us have a 3 day weekend coming up, don't forget about that!!

Good Luck, and remember, don't take your job for granted!

Don't make it worse than it is now. Sharing this information about keying the car MIGHT be incursating evidence.

I love my job. There have been times I have wanted to quit, but take a leave of abscence, family medical leave or something to get refocused.

What is so miserable about it?

I hate my job and get treated very badly. I work 6 days a week and the pay in lousy. I'm saving my pennies in the hopes that I can go back to school to further my education so that I can get out of here. Everyday I suffer, suffer, SUFFER. I try to keep positive but it is impossible. I hate my job and will encourage my daughter to find a career that she enjoys.
