The key point to sales on ebay is PHOTOGRAPHY, always make sure your product is displayed in good light and that the photo is well defined. People want to see EXACTLY what they will get for their money. If you want to make good with it you should move away from simple products. Do some homework on collectible items, they will attract good prices from fanatics. Don't be afraid to sell world wide as you can add the price of postage to the item to reach a bigger market. Music memorabilia is a hands down money earner - eg Beatles and kiss memorabilia sells for a mint price in Germany and Sweden as they were never marketed as big selling points due to the lack of language barrier back then - These days they want as much of the stuff as they can get. Antiques are good with people also. You can buy antique clocks etc and re sell them for up to 5-10 times the price. If you want more info email me. I am always happy to help. GOOD luck.

If you offer returns, buyers will use that option.
The negative feedback - what was it? Slow service? Poor quality? When you get bad feedback - make sure you correct the problem. If you are concerned about bad feedback, make sure you send out an email when your item ships and instruct the buyer to contact you immediately if something is wrong. That way you might be able to avoid negative feedback before it happens.
Selling shoes and bags, women's accessories (I assume) is a tough market. You have to have quality merchandise at a good price and reasonable delivery charges. If your listings and pictures are good then there is not much more you can do except see what the competition is doing and copy or improve on their style of presenting their products.
Good Luck.

I never take returns. Period end of discussion! In your description, be as excited as you can get. Like, it's a must have in your closet, don't get caught w/o item, make the buyer so excited they can't turn you down and they keep bidding when the seconds are ticking just to win it! That's how I do mine and I have done ok with eBay. The fees kill me though. Be sure and correct the bad feedback. I am at 100%, so always try and let the buyer know you have listed all flaws or imperfections. you must correct the feedback if you can! But I am telling you from years of doing this, get them EXCITED!!!!!

Don't take returns! As long as you are providing detailed information and good photos, you are not obligated to have a return policy - they are stuck with what they buy, and if they don't like it when they see it, they can turn around and resell it themselves. Some good selling techniques are to be quick with your emails right after a sale is done, and as soon as the buyer fulfills their part of the deal (paying you), you should leave them positive feedback (if appropriate). Also, keep your shipping and handling costs reasonable and ship out every day if possible. Good luck!!!

Don't do returns.
Put this statement with every item:
All sales are final. Ask all questions before bidding.
Make the title as detailed as possible. If they can't find your items they can't bid on them. Also I like to put what the retail price is on my item so the bidders see what a good deal they are getting.
For example: Gap Shirt Originally $60!! Starting bid at $5
Also for shipping, get the USPS boxes shipped to your house and you can also print labels online and then schedule the postman to pick up your packages at your door. You never have to go the post office again!!

I think I can only say, do what all the other sellers do, hold on your feedback til you've received positive from your customer. Make up seems to sell well, alot of my friends buy make up/shoes and bags. But e bay isn't as good as it was. I just go direct to shops now. Maybe you should set up your own site.

I you had crappy customers, too. Not sure of the quality of your items though. You know, that stuff is all in the eye of the beholder. Price is a consideration.
I just buy on ebay, I've never sold, so that's just my opinion. Good luck.
