It's just fine. All my kids used them & they turned out just fine. You just have to know when to take them away. And you know what they get over it, it's really not so bad. Plus now their saying in studies it reduces the chances of SIDS. So I say if it works for your baby, use it. They are not harmful & ignore people who say they are.

I believe in passis. I think that they are very soothing for children and can only help. I understand that if the child is younger than one month old then it can cause nipple confusion but at four months old there isn't a thing wrong with it! Keep doing what you are doing!

i dont see a problem with it unless the child is older and still has one. babies like passis for comfort and if it makes them happy i dont see why not give it to them. the only problem will be breaking the habit, ive heard its pretty hard. my daughter never really took to a passi so i stopped giving it to her. but if your child likes it, let them have it.

I gave one to my son and by 8 months he just stop taking it. I plan to give one to the next baby (due in March). The only thing I every worry about is that my aunt let my cousin suck on one until she was 11 because she didn't have the heart to take it away. As long as your kid is off at a normal time in life there should be no problem

It is not really bad for them until babies get much older, but I can tell you from experience that the longer you wait to take it away, the harder it will be. Do whatever feels right, but remember that it will be much more difficult on you and the baby once it becomes a well established habit

He's young enough that that shouldn't be a problem.
You don't want a 2 years old that is dependent on it. You'll know when you need to start making it a less important part of his life.
Congratulations on your baby.
