Has anyone heard of a band called The Lilys? They had a one-hit wonder in the UK with 'A nanny in manhattan'.

It featured on a Levis advert. It was reminscent of mid 60s pop. They should have been huge but they are just a very cult indie band.

They,ve been around since the early 90's, and have alot of CD's.
I guess there like my favorite band BoDeans been around since 1986, and most people have never heard of them.

Lilys
Lilys are an Indie Rock band formed in Philadelphia at the beginning of the nineties. The group consists of singer/songwriter/guitarist Kurt Heasley and a long list of constantly changing musicians. Stylistically their music has evolved from Shoegazing (debut album In The Presence of Nothing owes a great deal to My Bloody Valentine's Loveless) through Kinks style 60s pop to a more mellow sound on their recent releases. Lilys' most famous song, A Nanny In Manhattan became a UK hit after being used in a 1998 ad campaign for Levi's jeans.
