I just got the Sims 2 and I don't know how to cheat the grim reaper! also, on the bit where you make a sim I can't get the mirror to work! can anyone help?!

I just got the Sims 2 and one the make-a-sim thing the mirror doesn't reflect. also, when a woman is pregnant, when she has a baby does a doctor come? can anyone help?

and when you go to a sim house and find out that one of them has dies at another lot, how do you find out what that lot is?

Are you talking about the Sims 2 game for the PC?
If you want the mirror to reflect, you have to go to the dial on the lower left and pick the three dots. Then the square computer icon and adjust how much quality you want to see on the visuals. If you turn the resolution too high and the mirrors are reflecting and all that, and your computer runs too slow, you can speed it up again by turning some of that stuff back to default. The gears icon has interesting things to tweak too.
When the game installs the medium to low settings are installed with the game so people with slower computers can get started.
To cheat the Mr Grim, someone in the family needs love the sim that may have his life endangered. If this happens, then the one with the want to cheat death has to be dying and the other family member has to go plead with Grim to spare the life of the Sim that wants to cheat death. (I haven't seen that want for a while so I'm guessing). If the family member succeeds and Grim goes away without taking the other sim, than that Sim cheated on death and survived.
Update: I didn't see your update so this is for that-- when a Sim parent is going to have their baby, they don't need a doctor. The baby is born in 3 sim days (the belly grows two times to a bigger rounder state, and on the last day the baby is born with a cute animation) and it's a very happy momemt! If your male sims get abducted when they use the big telescope at night, then they can also have kids, and it takes the same amount of time, no doctors needed.

Click On The Grim Reaper And Select Plea Or Use The Resurrect O' Nomotron. Probably Use The Hi Res Option On The Options Menu For Reflections In The Mirror. The Doctor Does Not Come When Your Sim Is Pregnant But Your Sim Spins Around And A Baby Appears In Their Arms And All Sims On The Lot Will Come To Watch.

To cheat the Grim Reaper, one of your sims must get a job in the paranormal career ( to get a paranormal job your sims must graduate college) and get the Ressurect- O - Nomitron. The R. O. N lets you call the Grim reaper and plead for the death of a loved one. WHen he ask how much money you are willing to pay, don't be cheap. If you don't spend enough your sim will come back as a zombie. I don't really like the RON though, because married sims who are resurrected are no longer married.
I don't understand what you mean by not being able to make the mirror work... just click on the sims and drag to rotate him/ her. All it does is rotate your sim...

When the grim reaper comes get a family member of the dieing sim and click on the grim reoper and click plead for loved one. Also i dont no about the mirror thing but when you lady is pregnent and ready to have a baby it will go into a movie mode and shell scream and the diomond thing on top of her head will pop out a tiny diomond and it will tell you if its a boy or girl and you can name it. So no the doctor will not come.

Sims 2 is astounding! I enjoyed it!!! I basically did no longer like the clothing and hair... yet in sims 2 there have been extra useful enlargement packs.. the only situation became which you are going to be able to desire to unlike circulate out on the city. yet i myself love sims 3 too using fact it somewhat is in elementary terms astonishing it is so cool and there's a lot extra issues you're able to do! the enlargement packs are large!!!!!!!! individually I want The Sims 3.... i might reccomend which you purchase the enlargement packs: Pets, late night, Generations and objectives. international Adventures is kinda rubbish i recommend you in elementary terms get to circulate to France, Egypt and China, it is not that large....

I think the only way to cheat the grim reaper is to beg to him. A doctor doesn't come if a woman is pregnant, a notice just pops up when she has it and you have to name it.

If they die from something other than old age like starvation you can get one of their family to plead for their life by selecting the other family member then click on the grim reaper when he looks at his clip board there should be a plead for life option.

i can help with cheating the grim reaper...build a wall around him with no doors or go in a room and erase the door(s)

or press ctrl+shift+c and type in maxmotives
