lol i dont know were you have been but HELL YES THERE IS! the main reason i think is because more and more people are attending collage and nobody wants to be gone from there family and friends for long periods of time plus there is nothing cool about driving a truck , driving a truck today is nothing like it use to be either .

there is a shortage of drivers. mainly because it is so expensive to get a CDL license 3'000 bucks or more. I also think the younger generation is very intimidated by manual transmissions and air brakes as well as the j-brake system on all semi's. Another intimidation is backing up the every increasing length of these monsters. Never being home always rushing to keep schedule in horrible weather isn't appealing either.

bill loomer is an idiot. there are not 2 many trucks, that's how we get our food, clothes, electronics, basically everything people use on a daily basis. Unless u live net to warehouses how do u think u will get everything. Oh by the way most of the accidents happen because people in cars aren't paying attention and don't respect truck drivers. Just remember they are bigger !!

are you kidding! far too many trucks on the road. look at accident statistics...you will see that there are too many, and some really bad ones.
