I have a jetta and mine does something like that. Usually in the morning after it sat all night. When I hit the gas it gets a little speed but then it's like it's not gettin any gas. So I take my foot off the gas and then hit it again and then it goes. I have to do this a few times then it runs fine. My dad said somehow I'm getting air in my injectors. But you may just need plugs.

be more descriptive. It could be anything from just being slow, to having damn near any problem with it. When does it bog down? Does it normally bog down? Did you hear any noises when it changed (a clunk or something)? Does it always bog down? Is it only under full throttle? Give us some damn descriptions. Its like saying "my car doesnt work, why?" on here.

You should check your fuel filter.
A new one should be less than $20
