"Islamic fascist" seems to be the latest/greatest buzzword to describe terrorists (and inaccurate primarily because they have no state.) But maybe Iran fits this category? I think "regional empirialist" seems closer, but not sure...

YES!!!!! Whatever word or term people wish to use, or whatever "government" they claim to have does not change simple, but profound facts that prove they harbor, train and support Islamic extremists.

The word fascist connotates anyone who murdered Jews in the Holocaust.

The US term, "Islamic fascists," extends on the Hitlerian analogy and declare that Iranians will start murdering Jews in a new Holocaust.

If Israel wants to attack Iran with nuclear weapons, let Iran defend itself. As for Pakistan and India, both NUCLEAR nations are goyim and do not require anyone's interest.

Holocaust is used to describe mass murder of Jews which requires daily attention.

Genocide is used to describe mass murder of everyone else who is not Jewish and considered goyim by the Zionistas who run this planet.

This is a very interesting question!

According to dictionary.com fascism is a governmental system led by a dictator having complete power, forcibly suppressing opposition and criticism, regimenting all industry, commerce, etc., and emphasizing an aggressive nationalism and often racism. Therefore, Iran would be considered fascist because the seat of power is the Supreme Leader, an Ayatollah who has that position for life.

Undeniably the power in the Iranian government is with the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The Islamic Republic of Iran is a constitutional theocracy.

In a speech on August 22 Ayatollah Khamenei criticized separation of religion and politics, adding certain individuals worship according to the Qur'an but reject its politics, while some others confine Islam in politics, sidestepping morality and spirituality. He averred that 'religion and government' as well as 'morality and state' originate from the Qur'an.

Ayatollah Khamenei said the Islamic umma definitely needs to establish an Islamic government that in addition to moral and spiritual nurturing of the Muslims provides the ground for their all-out economic, political, scientific and cultural progress and defends their interests in the face of enemies of Islam by relying on the capabilities of Muslim nations.

From wikipedia

Politics of Iran takes place in the framework of an Islamic theocratic republic. The December 1979 constitution, and its 1989 amendment, define the political, economic, and social order of the Islamic Republic of Iran. It declares that Shi'a Islam of the Twelver (Jaafari) sect is Iran's official religion.

The Supreme Leader of Iran is responsible for the delineation and supervision of "the general policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran". The Supreme Leader is Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces, controls the military intelligence and security operations; and has sole power to declare war. The Constitution defines the President as the highest state authority after the Supreme Leader. The President is elected by universal suffrage, by those 15 years old and older for a term of four years.

The Supreme Leader of Iran is Âyatollâh Seyyed ‘Alî Hossaynî Khâmene’î (Persian: آیت‌الله سید علی حسینی خامنه‌ای .)
The President of Iran is Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Regional empire:

The London's Daily Telegraph describes the ultimate goal of jihad in the cause of Allah as, "the the extension of the Islamic territory across the globe, and the establishment of a worldwide "caliphate" founded on Sharia law and the temporal reign of ayatollahs and imams."

Wikipedia defines caliph as:
the term or title for the Islamic leader of the Ummah, or community of Islam. It is a romanized version of the Arabic word خليفة Khalīfah (help·info) which means "successor" or "representative".

Given the state of civil war in Iraq and the weakened Shiite government, it is very probable that Ayatollah Khamenei sees Iraq as an extension of his domain. Certainly, the weak secular government of Lebanon would be another target for Ayatollah Khamenei and then the regional empire would be established Lebanon-Iraq-Iran.

Certainly, many if not all of the Shiite imams in Iraq were trained in Iran as is the case for the Shiite imams in Lebanon.

Authority - wilāyah
Lebanon's Ayatollah Fadllulah objects openly to Iran's Ayatollah Khamenei because the latter's designation as Ayatollah is honorary rather than earned. Similarly, Iraq's Ayatollah Ali Sistani may have difficulty accepting the authorith of Ayatollah Khamenei because he rejects velayat-e-faqih (the ruling of the jurisprudent).

As Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei has centralized total religious and political power. To doubt it is to risk a Shi'ite inquisition. It would not be unreasonable to believe that he would attempt to become the leader of the Shi'ites in the Lebanon-Iraq-Iran region and then expand from there. Khamenei states on his own website that if a "person rises and comes to power, he will acquire the same wilāyah (authorities) which were established for the noble Prophet Muhammad (s.) as far as administering the society is concerned, and, therefore, all people are required to obey him." That does sound fairly definitive.

Khamenei also says, "Wilāyah, which means the power of governing and administrating a country and putting the sacred Islamic laws into effect, is a very difficult and important duty. It does not provide the person with an unusual station or position to put him in a higher class in comparison with the normal individuals. In other words, wilāyah here; which refers to ruling, enforcing laws and administrating [a country]; is not an honor, as many conceive, but rather a weighty and great responsibility."

It is a buzzword, and no it's not fascist because their leader is democratically elected, not appointed.

In fact, just a few years ago (prior to the current Iranian president), Iran was headed towards a peaceful and egalitarian society. It was other events in the region that causes the Iranian people to vote a hard-line fundamentalist into power. Because he makes them feel safe.

And yes, regional imperialist would be appropriate.

Islam invites (((all))) humanity to study and join Islam if and when convinced.

I wish I could have told this to Mr. Bush before his statement.

Key difference: fascism didn't involve rule by a state church.

To Michael_Knight: Iran is right-wing. NOT communist. All left-wingers hate/ignore religion. Iran obviously doesn't.

How about "enemy" that should work.

"Fascism is a radical totalitarian political philosophy that combines elements of corporatism, authoritarianism, extreme nationalism, militarism, anti-anarchism, anti-communism and anti-liberalism." wik

The only thing I can see that they are for is their own totalitarianism, Islamic based structure, And hatred of all we stand for. So Islamic fascist enemy sounds good to me.
