What is your question, precisely? At any rate, here's my opinion: every new child born (as opposed to being adopted) is a burden on both the nation and the environment, particularly if that child is born to people on the dole. I've had it with chronic breeders being rewarded for having more kids, especially if they're collecting state funds. There should be no tax breaks for having children, nor should one collect state funding for it. For each additional child, a "welfare" family should be heavily fined, or at least have their funding taken away. I used to work for a certain governmental agency that doled out money to these professional brood-sows, and can tell you from first-hand experience that it makes no sense whatsoever to keep rewarding people for having children they can't afford.

Though I'm not sure what your question is ... We should NOT reward people who are "addicted" to being on welfare for having more children. I worked for the Department of Social Services in NYS at a time when a woman wouldn't have to go to work until her youngest child turned 6. I was a Social Welfare Examiner, meaning I took applications from people apply for cash assistance and Food Stamps. I had women tell me straight out that their youngest was almost 6, so it was time for them to have another baby. It would make me so angry. Here I was working to support my family and taking my children to daycare and she was sitting on her fanny collecting welfare! It's time we found a way to get the chronic welfare abusers off their backsides and earning a living.

I saw a program that had a family that was on it's 3rd generation of welfare collection....not one of them had ever worked a day in her life. It's ridulous...it's supposed to be a "safety net" not a baby blanket to just hold on to forever.
