Bat control, yes.... elimination, no.
If you want to keep bats out of your house, there are simple things you can do to keep it from being a good environment for them. Tighter screens, seal off access points, clean up areas (like the attic) that are a haven to them. They prefer dark areas to rest in so light up unused areas.
Also, look up animal control experts in your area, if your home houses a large colony of bats, contact a chiroptologist (bat expert) and he or she will probably help you come up with something to get them to move (rather than see you come up with an exterminator).
Just be careful, bats can and do carry a variety of diseases that you do not want pets and family to contract, such as rabies.

If you are having problems in the roof or fireplace, call your state conservation department or local game warden and they will give you excellent advice. A lot of bats are endangered and it is a fine to kill them or destroy their habitat. Bats are essential for mosquito control and in the South Central U.S.Texas) the farmers depend on them to eat the insects that would otherwise eat their crops. Bats are active dusk to dawn and are still in breeding season, so this is not the time of year to disturb a roost.
Best of luck to you.

I think if you eliminate the bats, you'd better get ready to try and eliminate the bug the bats used to eat:)

In my humble opinion, bats may be controlled with the help of your garden variety Chupacabra. Kind of like bats, they're vampiric and would probably scare the bejeezuses out of those little buggers.

Sounds like a Fruit Bat problem!? Lots of noise and mess?
Try ear plugs for the noise. The rest, try and learn to live with it or move if you can't.
Sorry, not much else is possible unless you're able to cut down the trees they roost in.
I like them in small groups but they can get a bit much in large colonies.I suggest getting an orphaned one from an animal carer and learning to appreciate what great animals they are.
Good-luck,

Joker? Penguine? Riddler? Is that you??
Bats provide many benefits, like insect control. To keep them out of the house, put up good screens on the windows, and louvered covers on the openings to your attic and roof. Put up bug lights to keep busg away from the house at night, and thus the bats looking for food.
Usually, they stay away.

Bats are fine, they control insects and such likes. Build bat boxes to keep them out your house, then sit and watch them flying at dusk, its very relaxing.
