I've been playing Fantasy Baseball for years but this is my first Fantasy Football Team. Please rate my team!

League Details:

12 Person League
Roster: QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR/RB, TE, DEF, K (+ 5 Bench)
Stats: 10 Rushing/Receving = 1 25 Passing = 1

everything else is pretty much standard.

I had first pick so here is my team in the order i drafted them.

1. LaDainian Tomlinson RB
2. Domanick Davis RB
3. Willis McGahee RB
4. Roy Williams WR
5. Javon Walker WR
6. Drew Bledsoe QB
7. Laurence Maroney RB
8. Indianapolis DEF
9. Kurt Warner QB
10. Chris Cooley TE
11. Laveraneus Coles WR
12. John Kasay K
13. Joe Jurevicius WR
14. Deuce Staley RB

2 QBs
5 RBs
4 WRs
1 TE
1 K
1 DEF

I didn't know Domanick was having injury troubles when i drafted him... to me my WR core looks a bit thin due to the teams they're on, but generall i think i did OK.

Who would you trade? Which position would you try to upgrade? I took DEF, K and TE in late rounds and really tried to focus on a RB/WR heavy team.

Jerivicius is playing for the Browns this year. Yeah, it seems like my draft tailed off at the end. I wanted to grab Ben Watson as a backup TE but someone grabbed him right before me. I think i'm going to try to trade Domanick and a QB for a better TE and QB. But i'm not sure.... :|

You've got a pretty good team there, but a few (extremely important) points:

1. Pick a defense in either the next to last or last round. ALWAYS.

2. Pick your kicker in whatever of the last 2 rounds you didn't pick your defense in. ALWAYS.

The reason for this being that in each of the last few seasons, many of the top defenses and kickers came off the waiver wire and weren't even drafted in many leagues, and even if you get stuck with a bad D or kicker in the draft you can usually pick up the team defense that's playing the 49ers (or a similarly bad offense) and there's almost always a decent kicker playing in a dome on the waiver wire. On the other hand, using a late round pick on another specialty position can pay off in spades: in two drafts I was in last year, Steve Smith and Eli Manning both went in late rounds. With Smith coming back from his broken leg and Manning yet to have played a full season as a starter, a fantasy stud and a stud-in-the-making were picked up on the cheap.

Anyway, keep playing man, if this is your first team then you're already doing great.

Get rid of Deuce Staley and pick up Matt Leinart (just incase Warner gets injured).
Get rid of Lavernius Coles and pick up a back up TE.

Other than that, great job on drafting.
Dont worry about Domanick Davis...He will be fine for the regular season. Expect Houston to be a much better team this year.

Overall Rating of team: **** (4/5 stars)

You look pretty good. You may be weak at WR. Who's Jurevicius playing for this year? I know he's off of Seattle roster. Coles is okay, but Jets offense stinks. Other than that, you look okay. Davis may be hurt, but you are deep and he'll be back.

You are weak at QB, but between Warner and Bledsoe one should put up really good numbers. Nice job on your draft!
