Start saving up. Perhaps if you offer to pay half he might pay the other half. You say he doesn't want to but perhaps he can't afford it. Also go for a different MP3 player with ipod you are paying for the name.

An iPod Nano with 1GB is $149, if your dad doesnt want to buy it for you or buy the one you want save up the money yourself and buy it. You will feel better you saved for it yourself. And not to be mean or anything but if your typing like you are, I'd say your young and your dad doesnt wanna buy you the iPod because he thinks it will take away from your school work.

If he doesn't want to buy it save up your money yourself and get a iPod nano 2GB which holds 500 songs and cost like 100-140 dollars. Trust me you will love a iPod girl.....
