im doing a paper on leaders and i chose oprah winfrey and i cant find any information on how she was really a leader. i cant talk about her biography so if anyone could help that would be great.

She's not a 'leader' but she has lots of influence via the trashy show she hosts. How anyone can honestly make so many of millions of dollars from exploiting the misery publicly of others is beyond me. I know some of these shows use actors as 'subjects' to boost ratings and I know that for a fact because my friend was one of them. Sadly there are so many dumb people in the USA that they hang on to every word that people like her and Springer spout out. My advice : When their programs come on, change station. Write to the advertisers and sponsors telling them you will boycott their products as long as they advertise on this show.

Well, Oprah can be considered a leader in the talk show industry...she revolutionized the talk show industry and right now is the most watched show.....check out her website or her magazine "O" for more info.

Do a web search for articles about her production company (I think it's called "Harpo Productions"); since she's a business woman as well as a talk show host, you can probably find some information about her managment (leadership) style. I remember her being mentioned (briefly) in my Intro to Business class, but not enough to offer you any particular piece of information....
