Personally, I wouldn't, but I know two people who I went to college with who did get married, and they had the same last name before they were married.

Yes, especially if my name were Smith or Jones or whatever. If it were a little more exotic, I would double check the ole family tree to make sure we weren't related. So many women keep their last name anymore anyways, so no one is really suprised when her name doesn't change after she marries.

Sure..My cousin married a man who had the same last name as her-a lot less paper work as you wouldn't need to change your name-FYI they were not related.

I did marry some one who had the same last name as my mothers maiden name. I get some really strange looks sometimes when I do banking or something and they ask me for my mothers maiden name...Oh well I think its funny..we are not related.

That is very weird - and yet cool! If you married him, you wouldn't have to change your name!!!

I once dated two guys with the name Rick, my dad's name is Rick, and then two guys who shared the birthday October 10th. One of my ex's is marrying a girl who shares my first name, and my husband dated 3 girls who have the same name as me. I think that is really strange!!

Sure, it would be unreasonable for all the smiths, and johnsons out there to not marry people with the last name. Really look into it though, be careful.

Yes sure. As long as you are sure there is no relation. I don't see a problem in it. Less trouble changing your drivers license and social security card and all the other things you'd have to change.
