I've seen an advertisement that a new company would be providing non-stop long haul flights to various destinations. But I also found out that almost all of their planes are at least 17 years old. I'm just wondering whether those planes are considered old or not. Thanks in advance for any information provided.

Check and see what airline/nation the planes are flying for. You are more than ok with a reputable airline flying in the USA, where the FAA regulations make flying safer than driving. Other nations vary widely and are usually way more lax.

Depends on the maintenance record for the planes. If they are flying out of USA, check with FAA to see if the airlines is legit.

Airplanes and their engines are regularly overhauled, refurbished, and maintained. The airframe could be perfectly fine, and FAA regualtions set certain maintenance standards. 17 is fine.
