I work with premature babies and the smallest baby I had was only 12 oz at birth, the size of a coke can. He was born at 23 weeks. He's 4 now and is a little behind and has some health problems but all in all doing well.

My son was born 11 weeks early and was 2 lbs, 15 oz. He spent 10 weeks in Children's Hospital in Seattle before coming home. He just turned 2 on Aug 10th and has no delays, and has really had nothing worse than a bad cold. If your baby is home from the hospital before winter hits make sure you get them the RSV Vaccine every month through cold and flu season.
