I finally found the perfect bridesmaid dresses...but they are out of stock...I need to find a dress for a bridal party that is 30-40 ish. Something they can wear again..that can fit a size 6 to size 16. I have looked everywhere. Does not have to be "bridesmaid-y" I have looked at macys, nordstrom, bluefly, jcpenny, ebay, and just about everywhere else! Any new suggestions? Time is ticking away (November 4th). Thanks in advance.

Quick, find a seamstress and a pattern for a simple dress ala Vera Wang and have the dresses made to order. You can't go wrong with a classic line and the seamstress can also take care of the fittings.

You are needing 30-40 gowns? If so, Good Luck if the wedding is in Nov. 2006. You could of had them made, but time is to short. Someone might do it in the short of a time. Check a local seamstress and find out. That would be your best place. If those department stores do not have any-I'm sorry I do not know where else to tell you. If it is not a formal wedding, pick a color and let the bridesmaids find something in that color. Sorry, wish I could of helped more! Good Luck to you!!!

I couldn't find any dresses for my bridesmaids that I thought they could wear over and over again...So we didn't have any. I told the ladies the colors and gave them samples. I told them that I wanted the dresses to be below the knee, but they could wear something they already have or find a dress that they would enjoy wearing and gave them the price limit I had. All they had to do was let me know where the dress was and the price and we could get that for them. (My sister-in-law made some of the dresses...very simple but very sweet) This way they can basically choose a cool dress and it will be the colors you want...if you want it to be uniform then I suggest finding someone who can sew and buy the pattern and the material... If you want it all pre-made try a combo of shirt and skirt...

There are not any regulations with this. i've got been to a pair weddings the place each and every bridesmaid inclusive of MoH is interior the identical dress. i've got been to a pair the place the bridesmaids are all in a dress the place the main coloration is lavender and that they have got a pink sash yet then the MoH is in a pink dress with a lavender sash. i've got been to a pair the place each and every of the bridesmaids, inclusive of the MoH are interior the identical coloration however the MoH is donning a distinctive form of dress. i ought to pass on and on and on. long tale brief, no regulations, as long as all people looks surprising

I was in the same situation as you. My bridesmaids were of that age group and of varying sizes and it was very important to me that they all felt beautiful that day. I ordered my bridesmaid dresses from Chadwick's of Boston. They have beautiful, elegant yet inexpensive dresses and many nice accessories to match (inc. shoes). What was great is that my bridesmaids were able to look at them on-line first. Once ordered they were delivered in a very timely manner. Look at them online at www.chadwicks.com. Good luck!

Here's one that I came across that looks simple enough to wear again. There are lots of color choices too. Of course there are other dresses, but this one seemed the best for all sizes and for the age range you mention.

Do they all have to dress alike? Pick a theme, if you want them all to wear a suit, A cocktail length dress, a full length dress, etc., tell them what color and let them choose it. My son and his wife did that for their wedding. They told the girls to pick a long dress in burgundy. Each girl looked different, but they looked wonderful because each was wearing her own style.
