They should not send people home. There is no reason they cant proceed as normal.
They should read, and use dry erase or chalk boards.
Bells or hand operated air horns can be used as alternatives to signal the end of class.

Open air school.... Request the authorities to conduct classes in the lawn or the gardens, like olden day India where pupil used to study under trees.

that is actually happening in richardson texas today. a storm knocked out power overnight so the school closes at 1 today. i wonder what the kids did until 1?

wow....that's a novel thought! kids might have to do it the way WE used to....no calculators, no computers, doors open...no ac....and go figure, I'm 52 and lived to tell about it.
