You mean he was taken away from you by DCFS? What do you mean you lost him? Really, his SS card will not help you. Why not let sleeping dogs lie, and move on. He may not want to be found by you and you could disrupt his life by this act. And to the poster who said to get the cops to help you, they are NOT in THAT business. You would actually need a private investigator but that would take a lot of money, more than you probably have available. Let it rest.

Lost him??? Like social services took him away??? You could always do a back ground check but that cost like 40 bucks. Or if you are friends with a local cop he should be able to help u out.

Good luck. My mom gave me up 19 years ago... she better not come trying to find me....

I was 18 months old when I was taken away by Children Services, she didn't want us after that. She gave me and my older brother both up to the state....

I would love for her to see where I am today just so I can spit in her face.

he might have a different name and social security number now if he was adopted. If it was a closed adoption, you might not ever be able to find him, because the file is sealed.

no offense...but i kinda agree with answerer #1

he is probraly grown up already. there is no point looking for him when you probrarly didn't ask years before that or do anything.

but if you still need my advice try calling the government so they can trace the card back to your son's record to find his house address..i am not sure this is going to work. i am only guessing.

You have his name. Hire an investigator.

Is this in his best interest or yours?
