I learned in physiology class that the best way to get rid of acne is to just wash your face with warm water and soap, wait, and to not touch it at all. I think suntain was mentioned, I forgot what it was though. I also know alot of swimmers, that SWEAR that the chlorine in the pool really clears up the pores...... (Don't try anything stupid at home....... thats just what I hear).

If you’re looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne… prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.
For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it’s advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.

Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.
Oh, by the way the site that helped me is: http://www.acne-treatment-medicine-1.info/

I struggled with acne for years and I finally found the solution that works for me. We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It's time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!

Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:

1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

I found a step-by-step program that cured my acne and it has never come back. It is amazing and doesn’t use any drugs or doctors. The truth is that acne can be cured…if we know the secret the doctors and drug companies don’t want us to know.

There is a great website: http://cure-my-acne.info/3daycure/ that has all the details. I really suggest you check it out and see if it works as well for you as it did for me.

OMG THE MOST AMAZING THING FOR ACNE IS CALLED clearasil ultra: vanishing acne treatment cream. you can buy it at any store basically. at night Clean your face then put it on. it works great. you will see improvments the next morning. for the pimples to be fully gone, it takes about 3 days of using it every night. but thats pretty fast if u have acne you know how fast that is. There is one thing about it. I use it everynight. for the first couple of weeks i used it and i looked great. then about 3 or 4 weeks after i started using it they pimples started coming back. so i stoped using and my face got even worse. i didn't use anything for 2 weeks then i started using it again. and guess what? it worked again. i don't get it but it works for a couple weeks

I suggest ProActiv!
I use it and it works amazingly! =)

I know you stated that you didnt want to buy any more products, but I would suggest looking on eBay. They have smaller travel packs that you can buy, that are not as expensive and smaller size for you to try out and see if you like it. Also try the Refining Mask. I use it as a mask and as a treatment at night. put a small dab on the pimple and go to bed with it on, just watch your pillow at night, put an old white teeshirt over your pillow, it can stain.
Mine usually clear up 1-2 days at most.

The one product that I have found works best on acne is the Stridex Benzoyl Peroxide Power Pads. My son uses them and pimples are gone the next day. Also, I have found if you cut back on soda and drink water that helps too.

Many people swear by ProActiv, we've all seen the commercials with all of the celebrities, but it doesn't work for everyone, including me. I know you don't want to spend any money, but definitly spend your money on Clearasil Ultra. It is guaranteed or your money back in three days or less. Try it, it works. Good luck!

Proactiv is amazing! It stung when I first used it but know it's great! Works fast and it really really works. Buy it off ebay so you can try it without locking in to a contract where it's sent every two months. It lasts ages and did I mention it really works!!

Acne isn't something that gets treated fast. It's not a quick problem.

It's something you manage long-term.

The idea is to prevent the formation of future pimples - anything currently on your face has to run its course.
