I remember brown pants with brown boots being the style. Complete with afros. I remember the first cell phones that looked like huge books. I remember people walking down the street carrying their "boomboxes" on their shoulders. I remember when guys would wear pink and yellow shirts and thought it was cool. Going to McDonald's was a special treat! I remember the red and white buildings had a bench on the sides of the building and we would sit out there and eat our hamburgers and fries and drink our soft drinks.

when walkmans were the it thing to own
when there were no color tv just black and whites,. and there was no cable, houses had large tv antennas outside of them. there were no cables tv, only six new channels.
there was no microwave
on the stereo , there were places for lp's, cassette, and radio.
and when i was a child: lp's, radio, and 8 track tape. i still remember my parents taking large briefcases with 8-track tapes to friend's parties
luxury cars looks like large tanks.
suv's did not exist.

The only color on a color TV was a sheet of colored plastic you taped to the face of the screen.
Politics was something people considered a disorder among those who practiced it and had no problem assessing you were probably, not simply a crook, but a very accomplished one at that!
