Islam is a complete way of life. It tells man about the purpose of his creation and existence, his ultimate destiny, his place among other creatures and more importantly, it provides him with guidance to lead a balanced and purposeful life which will enable him to avoid the Hell-fire and be rewarded with a place in Paradise in the life after death. Simply Islaam is to "Obey Allah" (Allah is the Name of the Only One True God). Islaam is a verb in Arabic (a doing word). The one who does Islaam is called a Muslim. (Allah calls us "Muslims" in His Speech of Qur'ân).
The Arabic word Islaam means voluntary surrender to the will of Allaah and obedience to His commands. Allaah is an Arabic word, the proper name of God. Muslims prefer to use Allaah rather than God.

Because people are searching for answers and authenticity. They're tired of being flat out lied to and scare tactics used to get them to do what a priest tells them is right or to contribute money to the church. There are some questions that must be answered before I could make an educated guess on your question. How much are they retaining of these new members? What's required to join? Do you study and come to an accurate knowledge of the teachings and practices? Or do you just say I'd like to be in Islam and they wave a wand and you are. Also a lot of people in this world go for whatever the hottest thing is. Just like when Hollywood started talking about Scientology and suddenly they had a jump in their ranks. Or when Mel Gibson came out with the Passion of the Christ and those who claim to be Christian came out of the woodwork.

A deception is about. First, do you really believe that is the fastest growing religion? Did you do the poll yourself, or do you have some kind of magnified faith in the ones who did it? Secondly, if you keep hearing "Peace" do you believe it? Why not just drop your happy Islamic *** into Pakistan and Indonesia and so forth, if you think they are so enlightened? I do not know it is the fastest growing religion in America...I think it's a publicity stunt.
Those women who are changing are the ones who are bringing in the illegal foreigners after being paid to be their wives. Apparently money means more to them than security/safety.
And, overseas that religion seems to threaten the loss of your head if you don't change to Islam.
That's how bad/oppressive it is.

Islam isnt really bad. And it is the most talked about because it is the biggest religion in the world. This also means that this religion has the most extremists or crazy people. The media and press push this islam bias because of the events such as 9/11 and

People turn to religion for direction. People turn to religion when they are angry about life. Many already realize Christianity is not the answer, but stupidly think Islam is. People need to look to themselves. We are the answer. We can change our own lives. We just need to stop being afraid.

Two misconceptions are in your question. First of all, statistically speaking, Christianity is the fastest growing religion in America and worldwide. Also Islam is not oppressive, just misunderstood. They teach about love just like Christians do, it's just that the terrorists are taking certain teachings out of context.
