Who created the universe?

Question

If god created it, why? Why such a big big thing ? that the purpose?
If it is not god, How?
Anywayz....Is god what we think it is(hindu,muslims,etc)....or it is just the 'energy ' that always prevails in the universe(no brain, hands...just pure energy)

your guess is as good as any, but for what it's worth... God is pure energy and he controls it. The universe or what we know as our universe is just a plane of existance for us, to survive the trials and to proove ourselves worthy of a higher level for human beings. the purpose of it is what we make of it on our own, so you set up your own definitions and goals. but it is a marvelous creation and a thing of beauty and elegance

hmm its a great qustion .. If I say he is God , I think u will think about which god ! u know in people's dectorines there are many gods , but the qustion is there is a real God or not ? is god man ( Giant man ) seems like Santa Cruies ,
my answer is yes he is The God who created the universe ( but we dont know his essence , becasue we are disables to understand essence of the God )

but first i need to ask u qustion , if u find a **** on the street , what u would think , for sure u will know there is someone who created it ( man or animal , does'nt matter ) and u dont need any one to tell u that , u already know that , then the most ignoble thing can giude u this truth , what about the whole universe , it does not enough to u to be sure there is God who created it ???? ????
The God created the universe and he created u , and he put in ur heart this feeling that he is exist by nature , u dont need any one to tell u about God becasue im sure u feel him , and this feeling leaded u to ask ur qustion here and to read my answer ,
im sure when u feel u are in a critical situation u will say ( spontaneously ) my god ! even if u dont believe in God

the purpose is : God created the earth and he created mankind to build it and and to rule it and the man in earth is successor of God only on earth and he gave us the freedom to be good or evil , but oneday everyone will face his/her disteny becasue he was free in this life

GOD created everything in the universe. The Bang Theory has been proven wrong, so it wasn't that. Good question, I have know idea why god created the universe. It makes me wonder, why one day god just decided to make mankind. I'm pretty sure god did it, but thats pretty much on your faith in him.

Unfortuently none of us can truly answer that because we just don't know. For the ones who believe in god--its all about faith. And thats it!! But something had to create what we have...there has to be some sort of "force" out there...

the universe created itself, no other power was involved. why? because of quantum fluctuations in a scalar field, apparently. it's very complex physics that i can't quite understand, but what i can understand of it makes sense to me. for which purpose? none, it's just there, and as its inhabitants we have to find our own purpose in it.
