gift certicates or cash. you can give cash in cute ways. get a cute little purse and hide a 5 in all of the compartments or get a small tree branch, put it in a pot, pinch dollar bills (or 5s or whatever) in the middle to form a bow, tie one on each branch and give a money tree. get a pair of pants and put a 10 in each pocket, stuff like that.

I agree with the other poster - in this case, the only thing you CAN buy them is a gift card.
