i have an active-icon buddy on my computer--is it harmful to my computer?

i scanned it 4 viruses and adware an non-showed--so is it really safe to use?

It still may be feeding info back to it's makers on where you like to surf the web, what your comp settings are, what you download. IE...spyware. Those things are notorious for stuff like that...and hard to tell if it is or isn't doing it.
