There were 3 movies, a tv animated series also...
in 1995 they began work on a part 4 but a crazed person set fire to the downtown set and by the time they rebuilt the set, the movie was cancelled.
in 1998 they had been working (again) on a part 4 and then a part 5 but then Fox retired so it was shelved.
There is talk they are thinking of recasting.
