today i was rushing to get to work and by accident i pressed the gas instead of the brake to **** to reverse and reved the car and it sounded like it had a blow off valve what could be the problem it is a 2005 Nissan Murano S AWD with a little over 8000 miles on it, if it has a problem would it be covered under the lease??

ok to everyone mostly bostonianinmo i was in a hurry i was parked!!!!! it was an accident, its not like i was looking at it, and anyone could make that mistake

i dont know really. isnt the murano a CVT? maybe it makes unfamiliar noises like that cause its a single gear. ill look into it. if i see anything ill add it.

Probably just the rev-limiter kicking in so that you don't destroy your engine.

Any damage due to over-revving the engine is NOT covered under warranty so if you did break something you'd have to pay for repairs out of pocket.

What worries me is that you could actually press the accelerator instead of the brake! Pay attention to your driving!

Might be an exhaust leak in your headers. Do you smell any exhaust in the car?
