I don't know exactly what your situation is, but if since you are probably a girl, you probably use some type hair spray. If you let it get on your skin without washing it off, it will get in your pores and cause acne. You should make sure that your shoulders and neck are covered when fixing your hair. You should make a special effort when you take a shower to make sure that your skin is very clean. Get some clean and clear and use it religiously. Hope this helps.

i find a salt bath helps. Once a week. I swim in the ocean for an hour or more. It helps me. But when it is too cold or you don't have an ocean near by, a bath is fine. Warm water and if you can handle it rinse yourself with cold water as it makes the pores smaller. Salt dries out the skin that makes it get the oily build up but it also heals them a lot quicker. Mine aren't completely gone but it helps and they are not as bad as they were before. Also drink a lot of water, it cleanses the body. Try and cut back on fatty foods and lots of sugar and i'm sure you will see the results. Eat healthy. See a doctor for more advice.

Drink lots of water throughout the day, along with a healthy food diet, and I recommend the "Clean and Clear" product line that you can find in most retail stores. The have a wonderful body wash. My teenage daughter has tried many of the acne products out there, and this one is the only one that has worked on a daily basis.

It won't really matter but if still you are uncomfortable don't wear apparels that reveal your shoulders for the time being. Figure out whether these acne are hereditary or you have just acquired them.
Medical surgeries are available for removing permanent marks. If they are due to dandaruff, start using a good shampoo. Apply any acne removal cream they will soon vanish.

I don't know for sure because I am 35 and have been dealing with acne on my shoulders and face since I was 13. A dermatologist gave me Retin-A and it did not work and was expensive. I did change my soap to Dove and it helped. Drink lots of water to purify the skin and replenish. Good Luck and God Bless.

I used to have that exact problem. It seemed to come and go with me. Sometimes it was completely clear and other times it was not. I use Olay for sensitive skin in the shower. Then when I dry off, I use Mary Kay acne gel. Its the best thing Ive found and Ive tried everything. Mine was only bad at times in the summer. It was from sweating. During the winter, it was clear. But try that skin cleanser, and the Mary Kay. It may work for you too.

They're not ingrown hairs, and your eating habits have little or nothing to do with the fact you have acne. Try an over-the-counter body wash like Neutrogen Oil Free Acne Wash. If you're very serious about geting rid of it, see a dermatologist and ask him about using a prescription strength wash like Brevoxyl 8% creamy wash, or a different Benzoyl Peroxide wash.

It may not be acne. A lot of people get ingrown hairs along the rub spots, where clothes rub. Shoulders, legs, etc.... Use a heavy duty body scrub, for either... Stay clean and dry. If you have any sweating issues, use baby powder, pour it in your hand and spread it across your shoulders when you get out of the shower, or before you get dressed in the morning. Just use enough to 'dust' your shoulders.

Use a body wash for acne on the body. I think neutrogena makes one. It should go away if you start using it everyday, also put some acne medication on it, just like on the face.
