My Avalanche begins heavy vibration at 65 and stops at 75 then begins again at 85. I've had the tires check and they are balanced and OK. The shocks have been changed and it still occurs.. What else should I check?

Driveshaft(s) are bent or out of balance. Possibly a U-joint going out as well. If any work was recently done on the driveline it may not have been put back together properly.

Shouldnt, i desire to assert they're like the greater moderen fashions (2005-2009) the place the mileage must be entered into it provided that that's been erased properly from an authorize fix facility. yet you in user-friendly terms swapping it to a distinctive motor vehicle doesnt do it. despite the mileage substitute into on that cluster once you do away with this is going to be the identical whether put in on yet another motor vehicle. uncertain why your changing your cluster for an used one. no count if this is undesirable, that one you have will the two be the identical or will fail not long down the line. however the mileage if burned into it can't substitute regardless in case you adjust it to a distinctive motor vehicle. Even programming them on the dealership wont substitute them, they must be performed at SPECMO or the different place that maintenance IPC that has the flexibility to particularly erase the chip that retains that information

At 65 and 85, maybe the frequency of vibration of the pistons of the engine is equal to the frequency of vibration of the chassis so it vibrates due to resonance.

I have to agree it may be a tire brand issue. Look up your tire on a website like www.tirerack.com and check out the reviews on it. Plus look up if there are any recalls or bad news on it in Consumer Reports. It would stink to buy new truck tires, but keep in mind bad tires at high speed will kill you.

Find a shop that does >>Road Force<< balancing.

Most likely if you have Goodyear Wranglers on your truck, they are the cause. I've seen and repaired many for that exact complaint.

i also have one that does the exact same thing! i have taken it several times to get the tires balanced but, until recently when they put the back tires on front it didn't solve my problem. i'm hoping this will work for awhile, tires are expensive. good luck

It's the cheesy Bow-Tie on the front of it screwing up the aerodynamics, run out and get a truck with a Blue-Oval on the front it's more aerodynamic.
