Those drugs are stimulants and can cause contractions. Early contractions can cause premature birth and we all know the complications associated with that.
If you are constipated while pregnant, that's normal. Try foods high in fiber: apples, prunes, whole wheat breads, oatmeal, etc. I know it's a pain (no pun intended, really), but it's part of being pregnant. If it's very extended or painful, contact your nurse or OB/GYN for help.

There are some that are allowed during pregnancy. My Dr. told me what kind I just don't remember off hand because I don't have that kind of problem. Maybe you should double check with the Dr. or call the Labor and Delivery at the Hospital.

Since you are not in research could you not take their word for it. Take 2 magnesium tabs-this is natural, will not hurt baby and keep you reg. then take 1 every night-its a smooth muscle relaxer. then drink 10 glasses of water every day-and don't say you do not feel like it-think of the baby

Like they said, but you can use other natural relaxents. I had to take more fiber during pregnancy because I got horribly constipated.

Like we said before, it can cause contractions.
I suppose it could cause baby to have a BM in utero as well, if it crossed the placenta. That could be bad.
Why don't you call your caregiver and ask him/her instead of us?
